Ekspedisjonen Micro Brewery opened in June 2009. The brewery’s basic philosophy is to combine tradtional beer making, as done over centuries in Hardanger, with modern technology and knowledge.

Calm down and enjoy a small walk through the orchard where they dragged ice down from Folgefonna in the 1800 hundreds. The ice was for the most exported abroad on sailboats. We end the trip in the old "Skiparvikstova" from the 1700 hundreds, which now stands on the ground of the icehouse by the fjord. Here we try to recreate the mood they came in when friends gathered around the table in the evening with talks, tales and traditional Hardanger food.
